Duaa AlBalawi | Listening Session Mentor
I’m currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Engineering at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. During the summer of my Junior year, I was given the opportunity to participate in a traineeship on Sustainable and Renewable energy systems at The University of Tokyo. That experience, along with my undergraduate journey in the United States, helped me realize more than ever how important it is to make science accessible to those from all walks of life. I believe that knowledge above all should transcend the boundaries of language, geography, and socioeconomic status, for it to become an impactful tool for youth to find solutions to current sustainability challenges. My mission as a regional coordinator is to help create an informative, collaborative, and, most of all, impactful space to amplify the voices of youth in the MENA region.
