As part of our Listening Session Initiative in our Global Youth Engagement Program, we are currently seeking individuals to join our global team as Associates.
Associates are the back backbone of the Global Youth Engagement Program and by hosting listening sessions in their local communities, we can ensure that ALL youth have a voice that can be heard. As an Associate member, you’ll be paired with a Listening Session Mentor who will coach you through hosting one listening session per month in your community using our no-experience needed Structured Listening format.
We are also committed to ensuring that our materials are available in as many languages and dialects as possible, so at times, Associates might be asked by our coordinating team to help translate communications into other languages.
As a successful Associate, you would be expected to:
host 1 listening session per month (4-6 hours per month total) -- although you are always welcome to host more;
have access to a reliable internet source; and
a desire to engage and hear other peoples stories about what they see in their communities.
In return, as long as Associates remain active, they will be listed on our website and will have complete access to all programmatic, leadership development, professional networking, and social offerings. Additionally, they will be able to request letters of support, confirmation of participation, and include this opportunity in their resume/CV and LinkedIn profiles.
Moving Forward: Before applying, please learn more about our organization’s mission and philosophy by visiting the About page and take a deeper dive into the philosophy and structure of the Listening Sessions. Associates will be brought on board on a rolling basis as our program continues to grow.
Please note: We deeply believe that all individuals should be compensated for their physical and emotional labor and we are actively seeking funding to fund support. In the meantime, this position is currently structured as volunteer and remains an unpaid leadership opportunity.
